I am commonly asked whether mental game training makes a difference; how much difference; and is it worth the investment of time, energy and money to improve performances. It is in that light that I developed this page.
Mental toughness, mental game training, or applied sports psychology - no matter what you call it - it is a part of training for every elite, Olympic and professional athlete. They won't waste time with something that doesn't work or make a difference - and neither should you. Even when physical training does not change training on the mental aspects of your sport can make the break through you've been waiting for. And if you are already doing "all the right things" but still lagging on competition day - then you need to look between the ears.
